16.11.2007 - Nuremberg, November 13, 2007 – In several regions of Central and Eastern Europe, people are wealthier than their Western European neighbors. For instance, Budapest’s inhabitants have more money than those of Freienbessingen in the German state of Thuringia. |

Dear Madam, Dear Sir
I would like to thank you for
your presence in the specialised conference
Retail Banking Forum 2006, organised in
cooperation with the professional journal
„Bankovnictví“ on May 10, 2006, at the andel´s
hotel in Prague.
The conference welcomed more than
60 specialists who openly discussed the topic of new
strategies and opportunities in the field of
financial services.
The introductory block was
targeted on the balance between local and global
strategy of a bank. Václav Kubata, Marketing
Manager of Česka Spořitelna (whose speech gained the
best evaluation by participants) emphasized the
importance of the brand, service quality and key
role of the clients’ trust in the power of the
institution. Ursula Swoboda from FESSEL-GfK
Wien presented the findings from the study
focused on recent development in the market of
financial institutions in CE Europe. The following
slot dealt with the question whether it is ever
possible to search for new customers in the
saturated markets. Nick Watkins from GfK
NOP London performed the catching experience
from UK market that is by 5-10 years in advance of
the rest of Europe. Among others, he accented an
Internet banking and a strong orientation on
clients’ motivation towards more intensive use of
already purchased services. Branko Šefránek
from Allianz-Slovenská poisťovna underlined
the impact of pension reform on the communication of
insurance companies in Slovakia.
A very open discussion brought in
the confrontation of views on safety of on-line
banking, possibilities of communication with older
generation of clients or general comprehensibility
of financial products for clients.
Human resources manager Karel
Vasak (Komerční banka) and Guy Plessen (The
Academy) opened the second part of Retail Banking
Forum. According to their opinion, the evident key
success factor is human resources development, inc.
the system of continuous development of employees,
care for their motivation, flexibility and mobility
(including the internal one). Articulation of mobile
and affiliate network, usage of geographic software,
location of new branch offices, regional market
management, usage of external data by expansion –
all these factors help to optimise the affiliate
network, as was shown in case studies presented by
Tomáš Drtina from INCOMA Research. The
final speech of Jana Riebová from HVB Bank
revealed the experience with HR optimation via
sophisticated IT solutions reflecting the
complicated legislation.
Retail Banking Forum 2006 was
given thanks to the support of many partners, headed
by the Gold partner – ORACLE company. Expert
guarantor was the research agency GfK.
On behalf of organisers I wish
you much success both in your personal life and
business and look forward to meeting you at other
professional meetings held by INCOMA Consult.
